Overview
"uForte OPC Client Toolkit" is a tool for rapid development of OPC DA clients. Users of this product don't have to read OPC specifications at all to make their own OPC clients.
All the mass of the OPC details is encapsulated inside this product. The Wizard included in the product generates OPC clients in C# for Ms Visual Studio. The generated C# classes can be included in other projects where OPC communication is necessary. All the functionality concerning OPC is encapsulated in one dll exporting one COM object (ufOPCClientHelper) with several methods what is used by OPC clients generated, as illustrated on the picture:
One ufOPCClientHelper object allows operating with one OPC server at a time but a user can create many ufOPCClientHelper objects to operate with many OPC servers within one OPC client.
How to start
First, a user has to start the Wizard and follow the instructions.
At the end the Wizard will generate an OPC client. All the features of ufOPCClientHelper
are demonstrated in every OPC client generated. This helps to create flexible OPC clients without the Wizard.
Ready OPC clients can be distributed onto other computers together with ufOPCClientHelper COM object or after installing "uForte OPC Client Toolkit".
